Emily grew up in Chicago and is based in LA. Co-executive of The Hinklers production company, Emily’s mission is to change the climate of our society through the art of sharing stories on platforms like film, TV, and theatre. Passionate about exploring perspectives on social justice, specifically in the LGBTQIA community, persons with different abilities, and on mental health, Emily’s work focuses on inspiring, empowering, and training the future leaders of today to take action, embrace their potential, and to make the world a better place – ultimately encouraging audiences to take part in conversations that nurture our future.
Emily won the Hollywood Fringe’s Duende Distinction Award for Best Acting, was nominated for a Stage Raw Award for best acting in a two-person play, was nominated for Best Ensemble by CinEuphoria for Boy Erased, and is nominated for Best New Media 2020 at NFMLA with their short, the bookends, that explores the identity contingency between identical twins. Most notable acting highlights include The Good Doctor, All Rise, and Boy Erased. You can catch Emily in the festival circuit in the HBO Access pilot, Manic, on HBO Go and HBO Now. When not creating their own projects, Emily enjoys myriads of crafts, stained glass, baking, upholstery, dancing, and hanging out with their identical twin, Elizabeth.
